Free Music In Ruby Doo Park

SPEAKER_00

June is really a busy month for us in Waynesville and the Waynesville Ruby Doo Park. I want to tell you that there will be music in the park at the stage this Saturday, June 13th. The Cruising 66 Centennial Summer Concert Series kick off the summer in the RubyDoo Park. That's right, right there in the Ruby Doo Park. And it is going to be absolutely free for the entire family. So we want you to come out at 6 30. And it's going to go from 6 30 from to 9 p.m. in the evening with live music from Vic, Vaughn, and Sold Out. And Haley Powers opening up that night. So bring your lawn chairs out, bring your family, bring your Route 66 Pride as we celebrate 100 years of the Mother Road right here in Waynesville. This is the first concert of the summer with more dates all season long. Ruby Doo Park on this Saturday. We'll see you there. And since we're talking about this topic, this right here is a program that was put together by the Waynesville St. Robert Chamber of Commerce, and they wanted to maximize the usage of the park by bringing talent within our community, which we think is a great idea. So the city of Waynesville, along with many other businesses, have joined forces to make this possible and free. Not only that, we do have opportunities for vendors to sell food items and beverages for those who will be in attendance. And we want to encourage everyone to come out and let's just make this connection in the park and show our appreciation for all of the hard work, commitment, and dedication for the businesses that have donated to uh make it possible and to come out to the to the park and just enjoy this time.

July 4 Concert And Fireworks

SPEAKER_00

Just to give you a little bit of lead, um, July 4th, we will also have another concert, but the concert will will culminate at the end with fireworks in the park on the 4th of July. Yes, that that's right. We got fireworks that's gonna be happening right here in the Waynesville Ruby Doo Park. We're gonna have a concert. We're gonna come out, we're gonna celebrate together, and I'm just extending this out. I want to encourage everyone to come out and support these activities. We've heard the community speak about wanting to do more things here in the park and keep people here local. Hey, this is an awesome opportunity for you to come out and enjoy yourself in a safe environment right here in your own home.

Route 66 Car Events Downtown

SPEAKER_00

A couple of more events I want to share with you is we have the great race that's gonna be taking place here in the city of Waynesville. We are a host city for the Great Race. This is gonna take place on June 21st, and it's gonna kick off about 11:45. We'll have an opening ceremony, and there'll be cars glore downtown Waynesville. This is gonna be on a Sunday afternoon. We'll encourage you to come out. This is a legendary rally that celebrates the Route 66 Centennial running all the way from Springfield, Illinois to Santa Monica, California along the Mother Road. The public is invited to come out and watch and meet the drivers and get an up-close look at these incredible classic automobiles. It's free, it's for the family, and we want to encourage you to um just come out and participate and support um these uh groups as they come through. And we certainly want them to come back and visit and and also, of course, to shop local and experience what Waynesville has to offer. This will take place on the historic Route 66 Waynesville City Square on Sunday, June 21st. Don't miss it. We have the 30 way 38th annual K State Cruisers car show that will be taking place also in the city of Waynesville. This is gonna take place from June 21st to the 28th. So um get your families together, come out to the park, and this is always a wonderful event. Great cars, great way to come together. Again, another opportunity to come down to the Rubydo Park. All right, so June 27th and the 28th, the 38th annual Cave State Cruisers car, truck, and motorcycle show rolls into the Rubidoo park from 8 in the morning into 3 in the afternoon. This year, the show celebrates the 100th year anniversary of Route 66 with food, trucks, special events, the cash giveaways. It's a free event for spectators, and there is something for every generation to enjoy. So there's vehicle owners, registration is required to show your ride, but there's gonna be two days of Chrome Classics and community in a heart of Waynesville. So Ruby Doo Park again, June 27th and the 28th. I hope you just I hope to see you down there.
