Just to let everybody know, we had the tax center that did a phenomenal job down here in our city. April 15th is the last day. They will not be at 201 North Street in Waynesville on April 16th. April 15th is their last day for tax services and we want to thank them for such an outstanding job and service to our community. I also have some exciting news about Margie's Head Shed Salon. They are celebrating, or she is celebrating 44 years of business this week and I want to encourage everyone to please stop by and congratulate her on such an amazing accomplishment. By the way, she has a great display of a lot of Elvis memorabilia there. So I'm going to tell you that 44 years is not an easy feat, but we want to say congratulations and thank you for your continued service to our community.
Speaker 1:The Waynesville St Robert Senior Center is now accepting applications for three open board positions. There are three year terms and one additional position that has an unexpired term of one year due to the passing of a member. The board meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 930 am. These positions are open for everyone, so please consider joining the team. I have been a board member and that organization does great work for our senior population throughout the community. Speaker 1:April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. 5, 7, 3, 4, 3, 3, 2, 5, 5, 0. April is child abuse prevention month, a time when communities nationwide unite to raise awareness about child abuse and emphasize the importance of preventing maltreatment before it occurs. This observation highlights the collective responsibility we share in ensuring the safety and the well-being of our children, and you can make a difference. So learn how to recognize the signs of abuse and how to respond. You can take the free online mandated reporter training offered by the Missouri Department of Social Services, and that is at link Protect Mo Kids dot com. That is Protect Mo Kids dot com, and I want to encourage everyone to do this, just to educate yourself on what to look for. And I think if we become more engaged as citizens, we can help protect and make our community even stronger. So together we can protect our children and strengthen our community.

I want to share that. Each year, wcc advertising students select a local nonprofit to receive a free, professionally developed advertising campaign. This year, the students have chosen the Waynesville St Robert Animal Shelter, dedicating their creativity, their skills, to promote the shelter's mission and services.
