Good morning. This is Sean Wilson, the Mayor of Waynesville, with your weekly update for September 2nd 2024. We have a few things taking place this week and some gentle reminders. Last week we held our Waynesville-St Robert Joint Airport Board meeting and, as previously mentioned, beginning October 1st the two connecting hubs will be Chicago and Dallas. We hold an in line agreement with American Airlines and we are currently working with United Airlines to do the same. As we receive new information, we will be sure to share that update we have. The next month's meetings will be taking place and be held on September 24th at 3 pm in the Waynesville City Hall and, of course, everyone is welcome. The other meetings that we have this week in the city are the Rosen Ground, which is on Tuesday, september 3rd, at 4 pm at City Hall. Thursday at 3.30 pm, we will have our Emergency Services and Police Committee meeting, followed by our Finance and Human Resource Committee meeting at 5 pm. Again, citizens are always welcome to attend. Last week we had our electric department set a few poles for our planned upgrades and also in Brentwood Terrace there were eight streetlights installed. They will finish the second phase of that project in 2025.
